Job Vacancy - Clerk

VACANCY - CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER

Hours:                     25 hours per week, with possibility of increased hours in the future

Place of Work:       Parish Council Office with scope for some home working. The post holder should be able to travel around the parish to work in the community.

Salary range:        SCP 24-28 - £ 34,314 - £37,938 pro rata depending on experience plus Local Government Pension Scheme.

The Parish Council is seeking a highly organised and committed person to undertake this key role which is responsible for all day-to-day organisation and management of the Council’s services, staff, facilities and finances. You will need therefore to be enthusiastic, flexible and community-focussed with excellent leadership, management, administrative, inter-personal, accounting and IT skills in order to work successfully with staff, Councillors, external organisations, stakeholders and the community.

Ideally you should possess the CiLCA qualification and have a sound understanding of local authority organisation and management.

The post is 25 hours per week with some evening meeting and occasional weekend attendance required. We offer excellent nationally based terms and conditions of employment for this part time post.
