Tennis Court closure
Weston Turville Parish Council
The tennis courts currently have waist height wooden fencing inside the tall wire outer fencing. This was installed many years ago when the courts were used for both tennis and football to prevent footballs from damaging the wire fence. The tennis courts are now laid out with two courts and a MUGA has been installed for football. The wooden fencing is in poor condition and continually being repaired so the Parish Council has agreed to remove it completely.
This work will start later this week. The courts will be out of use while workmen are on site, but they will leave it usable at the end of the day.
The wooden will be chipped and used around the recreation ground in areas which become very muddy and boggy during winter.
