The Parish Council is working with the local climate action group in order to reduce its carbon footprint and highlight how residents can get involved and reduce their own carbon footprint. Solar Panels at the Village Hall
The Parish Council installed a solar array at the village hall in May 2022 and in November 2024 a battery was installed to store power for the hall to use.
Since November 2024 the hall has been powered as follows:
- 13% from the battery
- 26% from solar
- 61% from the grid
2.1MWh has been exported to the grid
What can individuals do?
Most of us want to do the right thing, but it’s hard to know what “right” is. Almost none of us want climate change, endangered wildlife or plastic pollution, have a look for ideas of how you and your family can help save food and energy.
